![]() HONOLULU, Hawai'i, August 22, 2009 -- Makana had a dream on learning and playing slack key guitar. His dream continues to unfold, influence and entertain many, not only here in Hawaiʻi, but also around the world. First letʻs dive into his shows that have been at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel called "Curators of Hawaiian Music"; his final show is this Thursday August 27, 2009 in the Monarch Room. It is a WONDERFUL show that almost goes by too fast. It definitely leaves you wanting more. The only comment I had when I first saw the show (which was one of the first shows when Makana started this run) was I wished, for the benefit of the visitors that he had shared more about himself personally so everyone could take a piece of that with him. The performances itself were wonderful! Since Iʻve seen him at that first show, he has loosened up and has been very personal with the audience. We talked about his shows at the Royal Hawaiian
